Business Networking Luncheon (May  10th)

farm Ever wonder how that ribeye steak got on your plate? Ever wonder what that chicken went through before it became your lunch?
Trust me, although at first thought, most of us DON'T want to know, we definitely need to be more aware of the brutality that livestock go through before they are butchered. This will be Golden Key last event of the year so don't miss it! The speakers will be representatives from an animal cruelty nonprofit known as Mercy for Animals.
They will expose what really goes on in those farms and slaughterhouses. These animals are inevitably killed to be utilized as food, however, there is no justifying they way they in which they are tormented and brutalized beforehand. Also, VEGAN food will be served. It's not that stereotypical tofu/soy stuff as stereotyped. It's some good stuff, so come eat and learn!

Oxfam Hunger Banquet   (may 9th)

oxfamDid you know that currently 1 in 7 Americans face hunger and poverty on a daily basis?
Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society brings to you the Oxfam Hunger Banquet. This event is meant to educate and bring awareness of hunger in the world. Many don't know how impacting it is for a mother, father, child to go a day without a decent meal. To go hungry for days at a time because there isn't enough food or money.
Join us as we learn and attempt to understand the challenges people face in trying to feed their families and themselves.
This event is made possible through the collaboration with Oxfam America. Oxfam America is an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and injustice. Together with individuals and local groups in more than 90 countries, Oxfam saves lives, helps people overcome poverty, and fights for social justice. We look forward to seeing you there. It's an event you really won't want to miss.
Refreshments will be served. Gift cards will be raffled.
